Like that of her protagonist Sophie, cartoon artist Nine Antico’s life was once in chaos. This period of existential confusion serves as the inspiration for a directorial debut bursting with joie de vivre.
An underpaid job with a publisher of comic strips; this seems to be the most 28-year-old Parisienne Sophie can hope for. She’d prefer to make a living from her hobby, drawing, but right now everything seems to be against her. Her love life isn’t exactly setting the world on fire either.
