  • still Spring (Andreas Goralczyk, NL 2020)

Spring (Andreas Goralczyk, NL 2020, 8')

Why does spring happen every year? This fairy-tale animation provides a possible answer. In a wondrous world a girl journeys into a misty forest. There she awakens a divine tree spirit. If she does this right she will have the power to make it rain, to make the sun shine and to make things grow bestowed upon her so she can apply them where she lives, but things don’t come off without a hitch.

  • still Into Spring (Udo Prinsen, NL 2012)

Into Spring (Udo Prinsen, NL 2012, 2')

Two woodpeckers start spring with their rhythmic drumming.

  • still Kuap (Nils Hedinger, CH 2018)

Kuap (Nils Hedinger, CH 2018, 7')

A tadpole misses the opportunity to become a frog and is left behind, alone. There is plenty to discover in the pond and spring will be back again next year. A small tale about growing up.

  • still Trampoline (Maarten Koopman, NL 2013)

Trampoline (Maarten Koopman, NL 2013, 2')

A trampoline is set up in a cinema screen’s frame that humans and animals amuse themselves on. The audience laughs at their antics from beneath the trampoline screen, until things take an unexpected turn.

  • still Freilandeier (Daniel Faigle, DE 2006)

Freilandeier (Daniel Faigle, DE 2006, 10')

A romance between two stop-motion eggs. One morning two eggs meet on the breakfast table, it’s love at first sight, but soon the eggs prove to be in a dangerous situation.

  • still My Happy End (Milen Vitanov, DE 2008)

My Happy End (Milen Vitanov, DE 2007, 5')

Fun, cut-out animation about a dog and his tail. All dogs chase their tails. One day, one manages to catch his. They become best friends and this radically changes the dog’s life.

    Make your own flipbook (30')

After the film programme you can make your own flip book in the cinema. A flip book is a little book with a small drawing that changes a tiny bit on each page. When you flip through the pages of the book with your thumb, these drawings zoom past really fast. The individual pictures blur together like a film. So with your flip book you are really making your own mini-animated film!

All children must be accompanied. Filmmagie is not suitable for children’s parties.
