Cinemini: De slak en de walvis

Cinemini: De slak en de walvis

Children aged 2 to 6 visit the cinema for the first time at Eye’s most beautiful, most intimate screening area. Today De slak en de walvis, about a little snail who wants to go out and discover the big world. But even a travel hungry snail doesn’t get far.

One day Slak finds a solution. He hitches a ride on a whale’s tail! Together, they visit icebergs and volcanoes, sharks and penguins. The makers use beautiful images and little dialogue to tell this story of dreams and travel, about being big and small at the same time. Come and watch, journey with us to the ocean. A beautiful story about an unlikely friendship, a round-the-world trip and a heroic rescue. From the makers of De Gruffalo and Het kind van de Gruffalo.

Afterwards the children play with light and shadow in small tents and on a large light box, led by the Taartrovers.

Cinemini & Cineminimaxi

Eye’s finest and most intimate film theatre is a great place for children aged 2 to 6 to experience their first cinema visit. Every Sunday morning, Eye’s Cinemini opens especially for preschoolers and their (grand)parents, where children are treated to a film, followed by experiments with light and shadow in small play tents.

For all Cinemini fans, we'll present Cineminimaxi on 22 and 23 February; a film festival for the youngest audience, created by Taartrovers in Eye.
